World War One Posters
An early Britannia poster which reminded people of the sinking of
the Lusitania in May 1915 when 1,198 people lost their lives. The
sinking helped to increase public hatred of the Germans and it
became an iconic symbol in recruiting campaigns of why the war
was being fought.
